Before you go and buy any watch you have to think what are your priorities in a smartwatch
When i was selecting a smartwatch i though about many priorities:
- Contact payments
- Battery
- Eco System, Android (Wear OS), Apple
- Style (round….)
- Price
After many considerations I found that battery life is one of the most important aspect for a smartwatch, the first watch I wore for about 2 years was the Amazfit Bip. This watch is amazing, more then 30 days of battery life, I almost kept the watch on my hand all the time, received all the notifications to the watch, rarely missed a phone call, it even helped me not loosing my phone anymore, since it has a notification when the phone becomes far away from you.
One of the first errors i did was enabling most of the notifications to get to the watch, this will become annoying after some time, you need to figure out what are the important notification you want to receive to your watch and all Amazfit watches allow you to filter based on applications
I loved this brand so much I ended up upgrading to the newer and more stylish version of the Amazfit GTR it’s a very nice watch, it lasts for more then 20days and has the same options I got used to before and it looks like a classic watch
I’ve been wearing the Amazfit GTR for almost 1.5 years now, I’m very happy about the choice i have made, I’m even thinking about getting the newer version Amazfit GTR 3.
After wearing any new gadget for some time you don’t end up using all the functionalities, what I’m using constantly is the heartrate monitoring, step counting: i found it very useful it is really making me aware how active i am during a specific day and encouraging to go on more walks on less active days. Also when walking i use the music option to control what music I’m hearing and not to forget the notification, right now i only have the important ones phone calls, SMS and SmartThings (Smart Home).
Other smartwatch options I tried but I returned them mostly because of the battery life that I decided was the most important option for me.
